Planning permission granted for Black Country Living Museum

Planning permission for the £6m expansion and renovation of the Black Country Living Museum has been granted. Red Kite are part of a multi-disciplinary team with Napier Clarke Architects, BWB Consulting and Donald McIntyre Design who have developed the design proposals, which includes a new car park, visitor centre, learning centre, pedestrian welcome zone, and SUDS landscape. The project is expected to begin construction in September 2019 and complete in December 2020. The renovation is part of a long term masterplan for the Black Country Living Museum to create a world-class heritage attraction that will help to engage an anticipated 500,000 annual visitors.
