Red Kite Network have led the landscape design of the first phase of the project, to include a new entrance way, car park and visitor centre landscape, as part of a multidisciplinary team with Napier Clarke Architects, BWB Consulting, and Donald McIntyre Design. Construction is due to commence Summer 2019 and complete Spring 2021. The rest of the museum expansion, including creating a new 1940s-60s town, will be completed in 2022.
